Royal Auto Celebrates Patient Prom Return

On April 22nd UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals held our 13th annual patient prom, an event that has become a beacon of hope for our teen patients. The prom gives teens who have been hospitalized the chance to enjoy the ultimate high school rite of passage.

As in years past we relied on the generosity of the community to help bring this magical day to life. Royal Automotive, a long-time supporter of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, funded this years Prom Shop. This area was dedicated to making sure all patients had what they needed to make their day extra special. From bow ties and hand bags to sunglasses and sneakers, patients had all the necessities to complete their look thanks to Royal Auto.

"The hospital prom was an incredible experience. It was significant to me because I couldn't go to my high school prom, so getting my makeup done and picking out a prom dress fulfilled a piece that I've been missing. Since I've been in the hospital for a long time, I'm missing lots of other experiences, and the prom gave me back some of that fun. It was a truly fantastic experience, and I will never forget how special it made me feel."
